Well Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday this week have been glorious and lots of you have been up to the course to take advantage of the gap in the weather, reports are that the course is good having stood toe to toe with the worst the elements have thrown at it for years.

| DELIVER MORE POWER BY IMPROVING YOUR BALANCE |

Balance is the foundation of every good swing. If you maintain your balance you can deliver the club head to the ball with both speed and accuracy, lose it and your swing will lose its rhythm and its effectiveness (Try making a full swing standing on one leg and you’ll see what I mean).
How balanced you are depends how stable the connection is between your feet and the ground. That’s a combination of how well your feet fit into your shoes and the shoe’s ability to harness the lateral pressures generated by the ‘coiling’ movement of the swing, which shifts enormous forces backwards and forwards across the soles of the feet.

When the foot pivots it provides an intrinsic lateral movement that enables the hip to fully rotate around a fixed leg position. Better rotation means a better coil, which means more power delivered at impact. That means distance, but only IF the shoe is still effectively connected to the ground.
Stability, flexibility, comfort, traction and fit. Your golf shoe needs to deliver in all these areas if you’re to harness the power of your body’s rotation and generate distance; shot after shot, round after round. The words “Golf” and “fashion” are far from synonymous, and there’s a good reason for this; traditional golfing styles that would be classified as suitable for use on the course have always been fairly ‘unique’ in nature; perfectly at home on the fairways and greens but noticeably out of place everywhere else, leading to the creation of the notorious ‘golfer’ stereotype.
